2017 Miss Acton Pageant

The Miss Acton Pageant is looking for participants for this years event.

The stage is set for the crowning of the 54th Miss Acton Fall Fair

The event has undergone a lot of major changes in the past 53 years, but the idea behind Miss Acton has remained the same:
an opportunity to represent Acton and the Acton Agricultural Society, to meet new people and learn about the town and yourself.

The Miss Acton Pageant will take place on the opening night of the fair, Friday September 15th, 2017.
The winner will begin a year-long experience of representing the Acton Agricultural Society and the town of Acton at numerous functions and events.

If you are between the ages of 16 and 22, attend Acton High School or live in Acton, Limehouse, Ballinifad or Rockwood areas, you are invited to be a contestant.

If you or someone you know would like to participate in the Miss Acton Pageant,
please contact Dominique Zeldin at
missactonfallfair@hotmail.com

The Pageant format consists of a private interview with a panel of judges, an onstage appearance and greeting, and a two minute prepared speech on a pre-approved topic.  After the initial judging’s are completed, finalists are chosen and they are asked to answer an unknown question.  The qualities the judges will be looking for in the next Miss Acton are: her ability to make people feel comfortable; her friendliness and attitude; presentation and public speaking, poise and control.

Contestants are to bring two outfits the night of the pageant.  The first is to be more conservative, something you would wear to a job interview.  The second outfit is to be more formal and reflect how you would portray yourself if you were selected to be Miss Acton.  Make-up services are available to those who wish to use them.

All contestants receive a small gift and passes to the fair.
